CSW Global 2018 is our international crowdsourcing and collaborative economy conference running October 24-28 in Washington D.C. With under six weeks to go until it starts there are four things you should definitely know about our five-day event.

1. Theme and Content Curation

Decentralization through crowdsourcing continues to positively influence economies and industries across the globe.

The CSW Global 2018 program will allow you to not only explore latest trends and topics in four main themes of Innovation, Business, Individuals and Governments, but also – and most importantly – explore how these trends will impact your organization, how to leverage the crowd and how to build crowd-based strategies to accelerate your organization’s growth.

2. Agenda

For Full Access and VIP Pass holders the event begins with an evening reception on Wednesday October 24. It is an opportunity to network, and establish new connections and strengthen existing ones among peer-group speakers and delegates alike who operate at the forefront of the crowdsourcing area sector.

  • DAY 4: Saturday October 27th, 2018 (10am-4pm): Expedition @ Air & Space Museum + Presentations
  • DAY 5: Sunday October 28th, 2018 (9am- 1pm) : Expedition @ Smithsonian Museum + Presentations

October 25th and 26th are the main conference days when over 60+ speakers and panelists from fifteen countries will share their latest insights and experiences. Thursday will focus on the business side of innovation while Friday has a blend of business and citizen science with a particular focus on the space frontier. There will also be a second track of speaker and panel sessions running parallel to the main track.

Adapt, Change or Die: Driving Breakthroughs in a Collaborative FutureThe event continues over the weekend for Full Access Pass holders with continued networking opportunities and speaker sessions during tailored expeditions to the National Air & Space Museum and the Smithsonian. The conference formally closes on Sunday 28 October by 1pm.

3. Speakers

More than 60+ speakers and discussion group panelists drawn from US and international thought-leaders and acknowledged top practitioners in the open innovation space will share their experience, insights and enthusiasm for crowdsourcing techniques.

The speakers and panelists represent a diverse range of media personalities and authors, space exploration, education, non-profit organizations, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, major corporations, cryptocurrency experts, government agencies, blockchain advocates, open innovation and the gig economy ecosystem. All of them will help delegates learn and understand how to drive powerful breakthroughs through collaborative and innovative means.

After a Wednesday evening opening event the two main days of conference will take place in the iconic Carnegie Institution for Science (main image). Since 1895 Andrew Carnegie’s intention was for the institution to be home to exceptional individuals – men and women with imagination and extraordinary dedication capable of working at the cutting edge of their respective fields.

Also known as the Carnegie Institution of Washington, it is an endowed, independent, non-profit organization. Significant additional support comes from federal grants and private donations. In that respect it’s true to say that it is crowdfunded.
