Child prodigy Kavyam Kashyap has been felicitated at Siri Fort Auditorium in Delhi on 12th Nov 2017 with a medal and a certificate in a mega event, ‘Indian Record Holders at World Stage’ as one of top 100 record holders for excellence on World Stage.
More than 700 record holders in different categories coming from 10 countries of 3 continents were felicitated in this grand programme held by ‘India Book of Records’ in association with ‘Asia Book of Records’. Kavyam who is known as ‘Assam Google Boy’ is the only son of Pranab Sarma and Pampi Sarma, an inhabitant of Milanpur, Pathsala is a student of class three in Pathsala Sikshapith Adarsha High School, Pathsala.
According to the learned section of the people of state Pathsala town has been marked as education town. Kabvyam proved that. This wonder boy with an extraordinary memory power has already inscribed his name two times in India Book of Records by translating 516 words from English to Assamese within a short period of 12 minutes at the age of only 5. He also surprised the audience in a programme held in Titbar, Jorhat by answering 66 questions about late Deva Kumar Borah’s life within 5 minutes.
Kavyam is, at present, able to answer more than 510 questions on general knowledge of national and international standard within a short span of 22 minutes. In this journey to Delhi Kavyam was accompanied by his parents, uncle Sailenjit Sarma, Principal of Pathsala Sikshapith, Utpal Barkakati and educationist Munindra Narayan Goswami.
To congratulate Kavyam and to honour the great achievement of this child prodigy at international standard the students and teachers of Pathsala Sikshapith Adarsha High School held a procession today with Kavyam throughout the entire town of Pathsala offering him gamosa and garlands in a festive mood.
All the members of Pathsala Sikshapith as well as the people of Bajali have reason to cheer and feel proud for this child prodigy who has been able to introduce his name on world stage for his great talent.
